Meet Executive Chef Tanya,
Tanya’s culinary journey began in her homeland of Laos, where her sister ran a bustling restaurant filled with vibrant aromas and layered flavours. This early exposure shaped her deep appreciation for balance, flavour and hospitality, which she carried with her to Australia.
Starting as a kitchen hand, Tanya refined her skills across French, Asian and Italian cuisines, gaining experience in fast-paced kitchens including the Sydney Opera House. Her style is defined by precision, aromatics and thoughtful flavour pairing, grounded in a strong respect for Australian produce.
Tanya’s journey with Pasture began at Pasture of Balmoral, before returning to Kirribilli as Senior Chef and swiftly rising to Head Chef. She now leads both Pasture of Balmoral and Pasture of Kirribilli as Executive Chef, guiding the Group’s evolution towards a refined Australian–Asian fusion. Working closely with Head Chef Lee in Balmoral and Sous Chef Toey in Kirribilli, Tanya ensures consistency, creativity and excellence across both kitchens.
